Dyna-Fog machines bring the advantages of small droplet technology to the farmer enabling optimum results to be achieved from a number of formulations.

ANIMALS BUILDINGS
Control of flying insects around farms within animal buildings can be achieved with dense cloud of small droplets from a Dyna-Fog NEUTRALIZER or Dyna-Fog GOLDEN Eagle. Where a residual deposit as well as immediate control is also required the Dyna-Fog Hurricane, Dyna-Fog MISTER III, Mini-Pro 8HP or Dyna-Fog Typhoon I will give slightly larger droplets that will not only give a thorough kill of flying insects, but will also be produced in sufficient numbers to leave a residual deposit on walls and other surfaces. The quiet Dyna-Fog NEUTRALIZER can be used with inert special effects fluid to test airflows in closed animal confinements. The Dyna-Fog GOLDEN Eagle AND BLACKHawk have been shown to be on ideal way of applying ReJeX-iT and other bird repellents to animal feedlots.

GRAIN STORES
To disinfect empty grain stores and silos prior to storing newly harvested grain, it is essential to thoroughly clean all surfaces prior to treatment to ensure that insects are not protected from the spray by layers of dust. A thermal fog will thoroughly penetrate all parts of the structure, but where there are relatively deep crevices (in brick or wood) the use of a formulation which also has a residual effect should be applied with a ULV machine such as the Dyna-Fog Hurricane, Dyna-Fog Tornado, Dyna-Fog TWISTER XL3™, or Dyna-Fog MISTER III to give a higher level of control.

DISINFECTING POULTRY AND ANIMAL HOUSES
A suitable disinfectant should be applied to the building before introducing a new flock of poultry or young animals to prevent the build up of disease. Best results will be achieved when the building is thoroughly cleaned and washed down to remove dirt and debris prior to treatment. Most disinfectants are effective when applied with droplets of 50-80 microns in size so that they not only leave a residual deposit, but also to ensure that there is some moisture present long enough to ensure activity against the bacteria. Thermal ULV machines are ideally suited for this use, and the Dyna-Fog MISTER III or Dyna-Fog MISTER Max can be used from the doorway of the building. Alternatively a Dyna-Fog Typhoon I (fitted with a Diaphragm Pump for high output) or Dyna-Jet L30 can be driven through the house on a cart or truck, and for small buildings such as hatcheries the Dyna-Fog Tornado is an ideal size machine. The Dyna-Fog NIGHTSTAR is a novel concept in application in that the machine can treat an entire house from one position without an operator being present. A choice of droplet sizes for particular applications can be made and houses up to 60000 sq. ft. (6000 m) may be treated. Where regular treatments are made a Dyna-Fog NIGHTSTAR S can be permanently installed from a ceiling.

INOCULATION OF POULTRY WITH VACCINES AND SOME ANTIBIOTICS
Many vaccines and antibiotics need to be applied to various types of birds at very specific droplet sizes. Suitable applicators need to be able to deliver droplets of a pre-selected size with few or none of the droplets outside of the specified range. The Dyna-Fog Hurricane, Dyna-Fog Cyclone, and Dyna-Fog TWISTER XL3™ are ideal for this use and as a convenient and simple method of application on birds such as Broilers, Breeders or Turkeys loose on the floor and can also be used for small numbers of caged birds.

TROPICAL CROPS
Dyna-Fog thermal foggers can be successfully used in a number of tree crops where the leaves form a "closed" canopy and the advantage of a thermal fog in that it will carry the chemical up to this canopy, which is often at a considerably height and surfaces. The canopy will then retain the fog until it has settled onto the leaf. Two crops commonly treated are rubber and oil palm, but cocoa and coconuts can also be suitable crops for such treatment. Thermal fogging is used for applying insecticides, but more commonly for applying fungicides. In rubber the two principal diseases are odium and phytophasu. Any chemical can be applied in this manner, but to ensure that the chemical is carried up to the canopy it must be formulated in a suitable oil, and treatment is best carried out early in the morning when the thermal up currents are at their strongest and the prevailing winds are at their weakest. Hand held models such as the Dyna-Fog GOLDEN Eagle and Superhawk can be used when the terrain is unsuitable for vehicular travel, but when the terrain permits the Dyna-Fog 1200 is the model of choice.
